The Get Ripped Body

March 28th 2009

What is a get ripped workout? What is a get ripped body?

The quest for ripped usually involves the pursuit of six-pack abs, beach perfect muscles, and rock hard sculpted buttocks. Fortunately, the drive to look better usually requires a program that also provides real fitness. The kind of fitness that strengthens your heart, increases your endurance, and reduces the levels of unhealthy fat in the body.

Getting ripped is the process of improving body composition by losing body fat while increasing lean muscle mass. There are many ways to do this, as long as you learn the difference between effective workout techniques and “quick-fix” hype.

Get Ripped Workout Myths

Aerobic training at a lower intensity will burn more fat

Many fitness “experts” define a number equalling 65% of your maximum heart rate max as the appropriate “training zone” for cardio activities such as cycling, running, and swimming.  The rationale is that this range is high enough to ensure that the body is working at sufficient levels to burn fat and strengthen the heart, but not so intensely as to risk over taxing the heart. Extended periods of exercise in this training range will tap into fat stores and burn fat.  The key here is the word extended.

High intensity exercise, typically in the 85%-90% range of your maximum heart rate, cannot be maintained for extended periods.  The body utilizes glucose in the blood to fuel this type of short-lived, high intensity activity.  But even so, fat stores are also utilized to curtail a too rapid rate of glucose depletion.

In short, it’s the total calories burned that count.  A high intensity workout session will always burn a higher percentage of body fat than a low intensity workout of the same duration.

Six-pack abs are the result of marathon crunch sessions

We all have a six-pack, it just can’t be seen unless you remove the layer of fat covering it. Including crunches in your workouts can further develop this muscle group.  Crunches are also key for building core stability.  But even marathon sets of crunches won’t burn enough calories to significantly impact fat burning. In addition, contrary to common gym folklore, there is no such thing as spot-reducing.  You can’t target to burn the fat from your abdomen. It comes off as it went on, gradually and all over.

There are effective programs that can guide you in your quest to have a get ripped body.  One of the most effective is the recently released Adam Waters RTP Transformation System.

Find the Best Weight Loss Program

March 18th 2009

How do you find the best weight loss program?

The first thing to remember is that there is no best program.  Different programs work for different people. Some programs focus on radical changes in diet.  For example the Atkins Diet encourages protein-laden meals and severely limits carbohydrate intake.  The grapefruit diet dictates the eating of grapefruit before a meal to encourage fat burning.

Some weight loss techniques are great in the short term, but tend to fail long term because they require people to adhere to some crazy fad diet that is simply impossible to stick to.  I’m sure you’ve heard of the cookie diet that requires you to get through the day subsisting primarily on specially made (and expensive) cookies. Of course you’re gong to lose weight.  But can you eat cookies the rest of your life?

The best weight loss programs are created by people that have documented weight loss cases using their marketed techniques.  And more importantly, they have the follow-up evidence to demonstrate the long term “maintain the weight” capabilities.  Always look for the evidence behind the claims.

Another thing to look for is a program that incorporates both changes in diet and an effective exercise program.  Making healthy diet changes will help you lose weight, but when you add exercise to the mix, you adopt a truly comprehensive approach to weight loss, body tone, and overall health.

So, what is the best weight loss program?  It’s a plan that you feel comfortable starting.  It’s a plan you feel comfortable maintaining.  It’s also a plan that includes both effective diet and exercise recommendations.  Most of all, it’s a plan that makes sense both to and for you.

The Adam Waters RTP plan is a proven plan that works for men and women.  Find out how you can become a part of the Adam Waters RTP Program success story.

Review of Adam Waters RTP Transformation System

March 11th 2009

Adam Waters is a NEST Certified Personal Trainer who, after dealing with six years of frustration with fad health and fitness programs, has developed the Real Time Physique (RTP) System.  The RTP System is a comprehensive plan designed to provide the detailed guidance and direction necessary to develop a healthy and fit body.

Waters actually developed the RTP System program during his own 84 day transformation from overweight and depressed to ripped and happy.  His journey from fat to fit encouraged him to document what worked and what didn’t, with the goal of sharing the weight loss techniques he’d discovered.

Adam Waters RTP System

Adam utilized a blog to share his progress.  He posted daily about his trials and successes, and took a photo every day to show his progress. Most importantly, he established concrete goals, adopted a positive mindset, and in 84 days succeeded where he’d failed for the previous six years.

The RTP Transformation System is the result of his achievements.  Waters took the information he’d learned and packaged it into a comprehensive plan that is clear, concise, and easily followed.

The RTP Transformation System Package

The RTP Transformation package includes seven robust modules covering:

  • Nutrition
  • Training
  • Mindset
  • Motivation
  • Goal-Setting
  • Accountability

The product also includes an 84-day project task list called “Actualize”.  This details each day’s plan of action, specifically your daily nutrition and exercise goals.

Phases of the System

The RTP Transformation System is made up of three phases.  The phases are designed to force your body to continuously adapt to changing activities.  This eliminates the “ruts” that are typical of many exercise and weight loss programs.

Phase 1 focuses on lactic-acid based workouts.  These high intensity exercises are designed to encourage an increase in natural growth hormone, which also burns fat.

Phase 2 concentrates on strength building.  Exercises focus on muscle building with the goal of developing a lean, muscular physique.

Phase 3 focuses on circuit training.  In this cycle, you will be doing rapid sets of a chain of exercises to burn fat and increase muscle endurance.

The RTP Transformation System is an extremely detailed plan that will guide you through an effective training and nutrition regimen.  If followed, this plan will help you lose weight and improve your physique and overall health.  The key is to get up and get started.

Isn’t it time you did something about that extra weight that’s been so tough to get rid of?  Isn’t it time to finally work towards that beach body you’ve always wanted?

It’s time to get physical and follow through on your fitness goals.  Start slow and build intensity gradually.  What’s the payoff?  A future that includes a healthier and happier you.  And chances are, it’s a future that will last longer once you get up and off the couch.
